What We Provide
The Children's Home Foundation grants scholarships and camperships to students specifically on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Our Board of Directors works closely with local high schools and students to connect the students most in need to our scholarships. These scholarships go towards career and vocational training to help our recipients become valued members of our local communities. Students attend local 2 year community college or accredited certificate programs. We do not grant funding to 4 year colleges. We take pride in our ability to help both our traditional and non-traditional students working to better their futures.
Younger children are eligible for our camperships, which provide the means to attend summer programs to further promote healthy growth. Various YMCA camps, church-affiliated camps, and local community center camps are some of the eligible programs we grant funding to.
The Children's Home Foundation scholarships are supported by our gracious donors as well as the remaining endowment from the sale of the original orphanage.
